Inventory Control Clerk [1st shift]
Department: Rhino
Reports to: Inventory Control Specialist/Receiving Lead
Job Duties:
- Assist in activities that relate to inventory control in the organization or manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Cycle counts, audits, Negative report, and slow-moving inventory, etc.
- Assist with all receiving’s and ICT (intercompany transfers).
- Ensure all items in manufacturing/warehouse are appropriately received, labeled and stored.
- Assist in ensuring inventory is available/ assembled/scheduled to fulfill customer’s demands and ready to ship on-time.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with management to confirm everyone is on the same page regarding inventory levels, inflow, and outflow.
- Inventory research of any issues and inaccuracies.
- Assist in the RMA/returns process, including quality inspections of returning product.
- Back up to Production and Shipping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- 2 years prior experience in a warehouse setting.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to adapt promptly to any changes and solve problems promptly.
- Ability to perform under pressure, especially in times when shipment or inventory deliveries are missed or delayed.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including relaying and comprehension.
- Ability to relate across departments connected to the warehouse, and with other members of staff within working environment.
- Ability to multi-task, and switch focus on projects with ease.
- Proficient with IQMS and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Operate work equipment, forklift, and order picker.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and move about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, and worked in cramped quarters.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety Glasses required.
